Seoul to Daegu by KTX: a skin clinic day trip

Daegu is about 1 hour 40 minutes from Seoul by KTX: close enough for a treatment and an afternoon on Dongseong-ro before an evening train back.

Quick answer: KTX trains from Seoul Station reach Dongdaegu in about 1 hour 40 minutes (typically 1 h 35 min to 1 h 50 min). From Dongdaegu, Daegu Metro Line 1 runs 4 stops (about 7 minutes) to Jungangno, and JRYN Clinic Daegu is 3 minutes from Exit 2. Since 1 September 2026 KTX and SRT run as one integrated service, so trains from Suseo work too.

How the day fits together

The clinic opens at 10:30 from Monday to Saturday, so a morning train from Seoul brings you to Dongseong-ro around opening time or soon after. Have your consultation and treatment first, spend the afternoon in central Daegu, and take a train back in the evening. On weekdays the clinic is open until 20:00, which leaves plenty of room; on Saturdays it closes at 16:30, so book earlier in the day. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Treatment times vary: about 10 minutes for Wrinkle Botox, roughly 30 to 90 minutes for Ultherapy Prime depending on the areas, plus numbing where needed and your consultation. Ask on WhatsApp how long your plan will take, then book your return train with a comfortable margin.

Booking trains after the 2026 integration

From 1 September 2026, KTX and SRT operate as one integrated service with a unified booking app, and seat supply on the Suseo line rose by about 30 percent. In practice, you can compare trains from Seoul Station and Suseo in one place and pick whichever is closer to where you are staying. Fares changed at the same time, so check the current fare when you book.

Coming straight from Incheon Airport

If you land at Incheon and want to head straight to Daegu, take AREX to Seoul Station (the express takes about 43 minutes from Terminal 1 and 51 minutes from Terminal 2), then the KTX to Dongdaegu and Line 1 to Jungangno. VISITKOREA mentions express buses from Incheon to the Gyeongsang regions, but we could not confirm a current Daegu route, so we suggest the rail route. After a long-haul flight, a treatment with little downtime is the gentler choice.

What to choose for a day trip

If you are heading back to Seoul the same evening, lifting with little visible downtime suits the journey, because most people carry on as normal: Ultherapy Prime usually leaves nothing to see, though the jaw may feel tender; Thermage FLX can cause light flushing that fades within hours; Shurink Universe sessions are short. Skin boosters such as Rejuran Healer leave tiny raised bumps for one to three days, which some people don't mind on the train home. Pigment treatments that leave crusts, such as One-Day Blemish Removal, are better saved for a longer stay.

Staying the night?

With a night in Daegu you can do more. On Friday to Sunday evenings in the 2026 season, Seomun Night Market fills with food stalls; Apsan Observatory, a short taxi ride south of downtown, has views over the city after dark (check the opening hours, which change by month). It also gives the doctor the option of a treatment that needs a day to settle before you travel.
