Daegu Airport (TAE) to JRYN Daegu

Daegu International Airport is at 221 Gonghang-ro in Dong-gu, and JRYN Clinic Daegu is on Dongseong-ro in the city centre. Here is how to make the trip by taxi or city bus, and what to sort out before you leave the terminal.

Quick answer: The simplest route is a taxi from the rank outside Gate 3 on the 1st floor of the international terminal: about 25 minutes to the Dongseong-ro area. Show the driver the Korean address, 대구광역시 중구 동성로 20. City buses 101, 401 and Express 1 also run toward Daegu Station and Dongseong-ro in about 30 minutes. Pay with a T-money card or cash, because credit cards issued outside Korea are not accepted on the bus.
Routes

From the terminal to Dongseong-ro

Option How Approx. time

App taxi (Kakao T, Uber) Since August 2026 app-booked taxis use their own pickup zone, separate from the regular taxi rank. Depends on traffic
City bus 101, 401 or Express 1 ( 급행1 ) Stop across the crosswalk past the parking lot, outside Gates 3 and 4 (1st floor, international terminal). Ride toward Daegu Station and Dongseong-ro. About 30 min to downtown

Times are approximate (VISITKOREA airport transport guide, updated May 2026) and depend on traffic. Fares change, so check them at the stop or with the driver.

Before you leave the terminal

The Daegu Airport Tourist Information Center is on the 1st floor, between the international and domestic exits. Staff help in English, Japanese and Chinese (tel. 053-984-1994) and can point you to the right bus stop or write down the address for a driver. A Daegu-Gyeongbuk hospitality booth sits next to the desk, and a WOWPASS kiosk sells prepaid cards for foreign visitors.

Paying for the bus

This is the step that catches visitors out: credit cards issued outside Korea are not accepted on Daegu city buses , including the airport routes. Use a transit card such as T-money or Cashbee, or pay in cash; some routes do not take cash, so a card is the safer choice. Transit cards are sold at subway station machines, Daegu Bank branches and some convenience stores, and the same card works on the Daegu Metro. Changing between bus and subway within 30 minutes is free if you tap your card at the rear door as you get off the bus.

Taking a taxi

A taxi is the easiest choice with luggage or on a first visit. The rank is across the crosswalk outside Gate 3 on the 1st floor of the international terminal, and the ride to Dongseong-ro takes about 25 minutes in normal traffic. VISITKOREA notes that airport taxis take cash, credit cards and transit cards. Show the driver the Korean address and, if it helps, the landmark: the clinic is opposite the ZARA store on Dongseong-ro.

Taking the bus

Buses 101, 401 and Express 1 ( 급행1 ) serve the Daegu Station and Dongseong-ro area. Stop names along the way can change, so check your stop in Naver Map or Kakao Map before boarding, or ask the driver for Daegu Station ( 대구역 ). From Daegu Station, Jungangno is the next stop on Line 1 toward Seolhwa-Myeonggok; use Exit 2 and walk about 3 minutes.

Some older directions suggest bus 401 to Ayanggyo and a change to Line 1 at Ayanggyo Station, six stops from Jungangno. We could not confirm the current stops from an official source, so check businfo.daegu.go.kr before you rely on that route.

Coming straight to your appointment

If you land on the day of your treatment, leave a margin for immigration, baggage and traffic, and send us your landing time on WhatsApp so we can suggest a realistic slot. The clinic closes at 20:00 on weekdays and 16:30 on Saturdays, with last registration 30 minutes before closing, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Local news reported in August 2026 that the airport has added a luggage delivery and storage service; ask at the information desk if you would rather not bring bags into town.

Is there help in English at the airport?
Yes. The Daegu Airport Tourist Information Center on the 1st floor, between the international and domestic exits, helps in English, Japanese and Chinese (tel. 053-984-1994).
