Why Daegu for skin treatment?

Daegu is easy to reach by KTX or plane, compact in the centre and full of things to see. Here is why it works well for a skin appointment, and what to expect at JRYN Clinic Daegu.

Quick answer: JRYN Clinic Daegu is on Dongseong-ro, the main shopping street in central Daegu, a 3-minute walk from Jungangno Station Exit 2. Dongdaegu Station is 4 stops away on the same subway line, about 1 hour 40 minutes from Seoul and 40 minutes to an hour from Busan by KTX, and Daegu Airport is about 25 minutes by taxi. The clinic follows the same JRYN protocol as our Seomyeon and Nampo clinics in Busan.
In short

Four reasons visitors give Daegu a try

01

Central

The clinic is on Dongseong-ro, opposite the ZARA store, with shops, markets and the old town around it.

02

Easy to reach

Four subway stops from Dongdaegu KTX Station, and about 25 minutes by taxi from Daegu Airport.

03

Calm, separate spaces

A clinic designed around separate spaces: lobby, lounge, powder room and a corridor of numbered treatment rooms.

04

The JRYN standard

The same treatment protocol as JRYN Seomyeon and Nampo in Busan, led by Dr. Cho Seon-a.

A clinic in the middle of the city

Dongseong-ro is downtown Daegu's main shopping street, with department stores, brand shops, bookstores and cinemas along a stretch of about 900 m. JRYN Clinic Daegu is at number 20, opposite the ZARA store, a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Jungangno Station on Line 1. That puts the herbal medicine market of Yangnyeongsi, the Gyodong Market food alley and 2.28 Memorial Central Park within walking distance, and Seomun Market and Kim Kwang-seok Street a short subway ride away. That is the appeal: treatment fits between the things you already wanted to see.

Easy to reach from Seoul, Busan and abroad

Dongdaegu Station is on the KTX and SRT lines, about 1 hour 40 minutes from Seoul Station and 40 minutes to an hour from Busan Station. It is also on Daegu Metro Line 1, the clinic's line, so you ride straight to Jungangno without changing. From Daegu International Airport, a taxi takes about 25 minutes, and city buses 101, 401 and Express 1 run toward Daegu Station and Dongseong-ro. If you are arriving from overseas through Incheon, AREX and the KTX connect via Seoul Station.

Calm, separate spaces

JRYN describes the Daegu clinic as "refined comfort": a layout of separate spaces designed for comfort and careful attention. You arrive at a lobby with the JRYN reception desk, wait in a lounge with sofas, and are treated in one of the numbered treatment rooms along the corridor. There is a powder room with lit mirrors for fixing your hair or makeup before you head back out to Dongseong-ro.

The same JRYN standard as Busan

JRYN calls it the standard for the Gyeongsang region: whether you visit Seomyeon and Nampo in Busan or the Daegu branch, the same JRYN way of working applies. Four rules shape every visit: direct care by your dedicated doctor; checks after treatment and clear aftercare; certified genuine products in appropriate doses; and a 1:1 tailored plan. The clinic has more than 80 devices, and the point of that range is to choose what fits your skin, not to add treatments.

The Daegu branch is led by Dr. Cho Seon-a, its representative director, who holds a PhD in medicine from Pusan National University and previously worked as a director at JRYN Clinic Seomyeon, the main branch. Your consultation is 1:1 with the doctor, and the plan and total are confirmed before treatment.

A city that promotes medical tourism

Daegu has used the "Medi-City Daegu" brand since 2009, and in 2026 the city is developing stay-type medical and wellness tourism products. Our Daegu medical tourism guide explains what that means for visitors.

What to plan around

The clinic opens Monday to Friday 10:30–20:00 (lunch 13:00–14:00) and Saturday 10:30–16:30, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Prices are quoted in Korean won, depend on the amount (shots, cc, units or areas) and do not include VAT on the clinic's list; ask on WhatsApp for today's price. If you are short on time, treatments with little downtime such as Titanium Lifting, Pico Toning or LDM Smart fit easily; see our guide to treatments with little downtime.
