Aftercare before you fly home
How many days to leave between treatment and your flight, what to do while your skin settles, and what to pack for the journey home.
Timing your treatment before the flight
The single most useful thing you can do is mention your flight date in your first WhatsApp or LINE message. The doctor can then suggest treatments that will have settled by the time you leave, and the order to do them in if you are having more than one.
| Treatment | Suggested timing | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Skin care: LDM Smart, Aqua Peel | Any day, even the day before you fly | No downtime |
| Titanium Lifting, Shurink Universe, Onda Lifting | Late in your trip is fine | Usually nothing visible afterwards |
| Pico Toning, Helios III | Late in your trip is fine | Mild redness for a few hours |
| Wrinkle Botox, masseter Botox | Early in your trip | Little to see, but the effect builds over several days, so you see it before you fly |
| Boosters: Rejuran Healer, Water Glow Injection | A few days before; 3–5 days for Water Glow Injection | Small bumps for one to three days |
| Fillers: lip, chin, nose | Two or three days before, or more | Swelling or bruising for a few days |
| RF microneedling: Potenza, Secret RF | Start of your trip | Redness and fine marks for 2–5 days |
| Mole removal, One-Day Blemish Removal | Start of your trip | Scabs or crusts for about 5–10 days |
| Thread Lift (Mint, Silhouette, Jamber) | With about a week to spare | Swelling or tightness for about a week |
General guidance from our treatment guides. The aftercare your doctor gives for your plan always comes first.
The days after treatment
- Skip saunas, jjimjilbang, very hot baths and hard exercise for a few days; the exact time depends on your treatment
- Go easy on alcohol, especially on the day of injectables, boosters or lasers
- Use SPF 50 and a hat whenever you are outdoors
- Don't rub, press or massage areas treated with Botox or filler unless the doctor asks you to; after wrinkle Botox, avoid lying face-down for about four hours
- After mole or spot removal, keep patches on as advised and never pick scabs
- Keep makeup off for as long as advised, often until the next day
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser, and pause strong actives such as retinol or acids until the doctor says otherwise
On the plane
Cabin air is dry, and so is the air-conditioning in airports and hotels. Drink water, use the moisturiser the clinic suggests, and keep sunscreen in your hand luggage for the walk at the other end. If your face is still a little swollen after filler or threads, avoid resting it against the window or pressing on the treated area while you sleep.
Packing list
- Sunscreen and a hat
- A gentle cleanser and moisturiser
- Any patches or products the clinic gave you
- Sunglasses after treatment around the eyes
- Screenshots of your plan and aftercare notes from the WhatsApp or LINE chat
Once you are home
Many results develop gradually. The lift from Ultherapy Prime builds over roughly two to three months, Botox settles over several days, and boosters are often planned as a course. Checking how your skin changes after treatment is part of the JRYN protocol, so if you have a question, message the clinic on WhatsApp in English or on LINE in Japanese, with a photo taken in natural light. If you return to Daegu, the doctor can review your results in person.
If something feels wrong while you are still in Korea
Contact the clinic on WhatsApp or, from a Korean number, call 1833-5568. In an emergency, call 119; interpretation is available.
